Réva’s BAROLO RAVERA is a complex, powerful yet balanced and elegant red wine, expression of one of the cherished “Crus” of the Barolo area, “Ravera” vineyards (planted in the 60’s).
The scent delivers a balsamic character, earthy, floral and spicy notes. Elements of tar & crushed rose petals accompany in the nose, with black and red berries and tobacco.
The palate is exquisite with juicy red and black fruits such as ripe cherries which offer pure and appealing aromas. Acidity is lively on the palate, offering a full-bodied and persistent sip, with velvety, dense tannins.
Food match: a great match with fresh egg-pasta and white Piemonte truffles, or an earthy rabbit ragù. Excellent also with a risotto Porcini mushrooms.
Ageing potential of about 25 years, yet ready to make you dream now.
