Berritta’s “THURCALESU” is an elegant, full-body characterful red wine made from 100% Cannonau grapes, from carefully selected vines over 25 year-old.
Ageing takes place for 6 months in stainless steel tanks and 6 to 12 months in medium-large oak barrels. The wine spends then a few months in bottles before market release.
The result is a varietal Cannonau with a beautiful ruby red appearance, an elegant aromatic bouquet of ripe red fruits (juicy cherries and red-berries), Mediterranean herbs, and balsamic notes.
A full-bodied varietal Cannonau, with well-polished yet vibrant tannins.
Food match: With a roasted pork chops or pork-carré you’ll reach idyllic combination (roasted piglet is a local Sardinian specialty). Matches in any case meat and game dishes with herby notes of laurel and rosemary.
