Réva’s BAROLO CANNUBI is a rich, powerful and robust red wines from the “Cannubi” vineyard (the oldest and most prestigious vineyard in the Barolo designation, dating back to 1752). The terroir here allows to craft a Barolo at the height of its denomination.
With a vigorous appearance and elegant garnet hue, the scent delivers an opulent balsamic character yet preserving the floral and primary aromas of fleshy black cherry, raspberry jam, vanilla and cinnamon notes. The palate is exquisitely warm, balsamic with earthy undertones, but the rich fruit stands up the 14,5% alcohol, with cassis, plums and violets expressing elegance. The smoky tar and tobacco notes linger behind the fruit, blending harmoniously in an infinite finish. A real elegant force to start dreaming with!
Food match: This elegant red will delight you combined with black-truffle & taleggio tagliolini egg-past. A wild-boar stew or ‘Tagliata di Manzo” with butter and garlic will allow you to tame this King. Some white truffles shaves on top can only make you step in heaven !
