Réva’s Langhe Nebbiolo is an elegant, bold, silky red wine from Monforte d’Alba vineyards, on clay and limestone soils. A light in body yet strong character wine, entering with a distinctive nose of figs, cherry jam, peony-rose and pomegranate.
Ageing of 12 months in oak barrels gives grippy yet pleasant tannins and hints of tobacco & vanilla.
The palate is vibrant and shows notes of dry-yet fruity elements of plums, red orchard apple, tar & tobacco hints for a pleasantly medium-long finish.
Food match: mushroom risotto with truffles, rich pasta dishes. Interesting and fun pairings with some Asian and slightly spiced dishes.
