Rottensteiner’s “KITZ Red” is a fruity, fresh, round and vibrant a modern cuvèe dry red wine made from a blend of indigenous grapes Schiava and Lagrein, with an hint of Merlot.
The name KITZ refers to the German name of the pup of the Ibex, our heraldic animal.
Following harvest, the vinification and maturation process is carried by in stainless steel tanks to best preserve the fruity notes, maintaining a very fresh drinkability without becoming too full-bodied.
The appearance shows a bright & inviting ruby colour. On the nose fresh red fruits with notes of cherries, violet, and red berries.
The sip & palate patterns are light-medium, lively & juicy, combining freshness and fruitiness of the Schiava with the power and complexity of the Lagrein, and is rounded off by the fullness and sweetness of the Merlot.
Food-match: a blend with a light character that goes well with convivial moments and hearty dishes. An ideal companion for spending times together.
