Rottensteiner’s “PASSITO Cresta” is a sweet dessert wine, complex and aromatic made from 100% Gewürztraminer.
Produced for the first time in 1999, the name should bring to mind the former appellation of the region “Cresta Piana” which has turned into the “Kristploner”.
Only the best grapes are selected as a foundation for this wine.
Following manual harvest, the grapes are dried for 5 months and then they are pressed. Vinification process is carried out in steel tanks.
The appearance shows a intense golden colour. On the nose inviting exotic and dried fruits, orange zest and honey notes. The palate delivers a rich experience in line with olphactory sensations.
Food-match: Passito “Cresta” tastes very good with sweet dishes and very strong cheese, especially with blue cheeses like Roquefort and Gorgonzola and other medium-to-strong cheese servings.
Recommended serving-temperature of 10°-12°C.
