Rottensteiner’s “Pinot Nero SELECT” (from the Nussbaumerhof estate in Missiano (Appiano) sandy-limestone vineyards) is a very elegant, complex and juicy red wine made from 100% Pinot Nero.
South Tyrol Pinot Noirs were nominated among the best Pinot Noirs of Italy many times, even among the best outside of Burgundy.
Following manual harvest, vinification process starts with very delicate and soft pressing. 24 months maturation in Tonneaux define elegancy through a classy integration of vanilla notes, creating high drinking pleasure.
The appearance shows a deep and seductive ruby colour. On the nose bright and high-toned red berries drive the harmonious aromas forward in freshness.
The palate delivers zippy fruity notes subtle hints of dried flowers and forest floor, as well as flavours of cranberry and strawberry, with a touch of appealing acidity on the finish.
Food-match: full-bodied, elegant and fruity red, the Pinot Noir Select is perfectly paired with red meat, game and medium-to-strong cheese.
Recommended serving-temperature of 17°-18°C.
