Welcome to South Tyrol. Welcome to the Gojer family, whose origins at the Glögglhof estate in S. Maddalena near Bolzano stretch back many generations. The Glögglhof dates from the 14th century. The family is deeply rooted in South Tyrol and shares a strong bond with wine. The vineyards around Bolzano have been documented for over 1,000 years. The wines of the Gojer family embody the unique landscape of the Glögglhof, where mountains and forests provide the perfect conditions for top-quality vines and grapes.
Wines of precision, elegance and uncompromising quality. The Gojer family places great value on individuality, identity and the strong terroir character of their wines. The warm sites in the Bolzano Valley form the foundation for high-quality wines from the native red grape varieties Schiava and Lagrein. The white wines — Kerner, Sauvignon and Pinot Blanc — benefit from the higher elevation, which lends them a fresh, mountain character. Franz Gojer was a pioneer in S. Maddalena: from the early 1970s he reduced yields, improved quality and began bottling his wines, breaking with the tradition of selling wine exclusively in barrels.
In 2007, the family expanded into Cornedo all'Isarco, at 600 metres above sea level, with the purchase of a farm with 3 hectares of vineyards. From 2010, the portfolio was extended to include Kerner, Sauvignon and Pinot Blanc. The cool, exposed site is ideal for these varieties.
The years 2019 to 2021 marked significant milestones for the family: in 2019, after years of working across two cellars, the decision was made to consolidate production in a single location. Following renovation works at the new farm in Cornedo all'Isarco, the entire harvest could be stored there in 2020. As part of their development plans, an architecturally striking tasting room was also built, overlooking the vineyards and the city of Bolzano. In 2021, son Florian took over from his father Franz, carrying the family business forward into its fifth generation.
