Sale price €79,95

“TAURASI DOCG”, on of the King’s of the South in Italy, from a specific micro-area around the Borgo Montaperto, is an complex, intense, spiced and powerful red wine made from a meticulous selection of 100% Aglianico grapes.
A wine with a great personality, terroir and identity of every vintage. A wine to be enjoyed with the earth.
After harvest, following an extremely caring work in the vineyard, the vinification takes place in stainless steel tanks, without controlling the temperature and spontaneously through indigenous yeasts. Followed by daily “pumping over” of the “hat” of grapes, a long maceration in contact with grape’s skins for at least 20 days. Malo takes afterwads place in the following spring in wood. Refinement takes place then in French oak barriques (second & third passage) for about 30 months, with a following period of a few months in the bottle before release to the market.
In appearance, it shows a intense ruby red colour with garnet reflexions. Its bouquet is very complex and intense, delivering typical red fruit and spiced notes. The sip is very enveloping and intense, and distinguished by great structure and aromatic depth, whilst combining power and freshness seamlessly.. The wine has not undergone any filtering or clarification (natural decantation process).

Food pairing: a gorgeous match with red meats and a wide selection of mature cheeses.
Recommended serving temperature: 17-18 °C.
