VIGNETO QUATTRO CERRI Irpinia Aglianico DOP
“IRPINIA QUATTRO CERRI DOP”, from a specific micro-area around the Borgo Montaperto, is an harmonious, intense, warm and powerful red wine made from a meticulous selection of 100% Aglianico grapes.
After harvest, following an extremely caring work in the vineyard, the vinification takes place in stainless steel tanks, with daily “pumping over” of the “hat” of grapes, a long maceration in contact with grape’s skins for at least 15 days. Malo takes afterwads place in the following spring in wood.
Refinement takes place then in large oak barrels of 11 Hl for at least 14 months, with a following 6 month in the bottle before release to the market.
In appearance, it shows a intense ruby red colour. Its bouquet is broad and intense, delivering notes of cherry and amarena. The sip is intense, warm and distinguished by and enveloping character, great structure and aromatic depth. The wine has not undergone any filtering or clarification (natural decantation process).
Food pairing: a gorgeous match with red meats and a wide selection of mature cheeses.
Recommended serving temperature: 17-18 °C.
